Window and Exterior Door Rebate

Available for existing single-family homes with 4 units or less, site built or manufactured, that meet qualifications. For multifamily homes, please contact us.

Pre-existing conditions

The old windows or patio doors being replaced must be either single-pane with wood or metal frames, or double-pane with metal frames.
The home’s primary heating source must be electric.
New construction homes are not eligible.

Requirements & rebate amounts

Windows

U-factor 0.30 or lower: $6 per square foot
U-factor 0.22 or lower: $8 per square foot

Patio Doors

U-factor 0.35 or lower: $6 per square foot

Exterior Doors

New ENERGY STAR® certified door replacing an uninsulated door: $40

All rebates are limited to 70% of total project cost.

EXTERIOR DOORS

The replacement exterior door must be a pre-hung, ENERGY STAR-Qualified door and replace an uninsulated exterior door. The exterior door must include the replacement of the threshold. It must also separate a heated space and an unheated space.

Existing Windows/Patio Doors*

Please note that proof of the existing window/patio door types must be verified to receive your rebate. This can include clear pictures of the windows/patio doors or a statement from your contractor (if applicable) describing the type(s) of windows/patio doors removed.

Unfortunately, the existing windows/patio doors must be single pane with metal frames or wood frames, or double pane with metal frames, to qualify for the rebate.

The window/patio door rebate is for replacement windows/patio doors only. Windows/patio doors that are not inside the electrically heated area of the home, such as garages or workshops, are not eligible for the rebate. The U-factors of the replacement windows must be 0.30 or lower to qualify for the rebate. The U-factors of the replacement patio doors must be 0.35 or lower to qualify for the rebate.

A copy of each of the contractor's final invoices showing window/patio door measurements, total cost, and the invoice date.
Proof of existing window/patio door frames and types. This may either be documented on the contractor's invoice or by providing clear pictures of the windows/patio doors. If you are eligible and unable to provide this documentation, we may provide a free on-site window/patio door audit that must be performed before the windows/patio doors are replaced.
