Offered to Lompoc Electric Utility residential customers for purchase and installation of a new qualifying Air Source Heat Pump.
This application should be submitted within 12 months of the purchase or installation date.
Rebate applies to existing homes only; new construction is not eligible.
Rebates are limited to 100% of the project’s total cost.

Split or Unitary/Packaged Ducted Systems
$250 per ton
*Minimum 16.0 SEER, 12.8 EER, and 9.0 HSPF (equivalent to 15.2 SEER2, 12.2 EER2, and 7.7 HSPF2)
Mini/Multi-Split Ductless Systems
$250 per ton
*Minimum 16.0 SEER and 9.2 HSPF (equivalent to 15.2 SEER2 and 7.8 HSPF2)
*All replacement equipment must be new and certified by the Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI). Equipment tonnage is calculated using the cooling capacity listed on the AHRI certificate. Divide cooling capacity by 12,000 (1 ton = 12,000 Btuh), the result is not rounded. Example: AHRI cooling capacity 34,500/12,000 = 2.87-ton unit.
Rebate payment: issued as a bill credit to the customer’s utility account.
Installation by licensed contractor
To qualify for this rebate, the new Air Source Heat Pump’s installation must be performed by a contractor with an active license, in good standing with the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB).
Use California’s official Check A License system to verify your contractor’s status and CSLB number.
The license number is required to complete the rebate application below.
Allow 8 to 10 weeks to receive the rebate, if all qualifications are met.
