OTEC Residential Ductless Heat Pump Rebate Application

Offered on qualifying new electric Ductless Heat Pump (DHP) “mini-split” projects in eligible homes.

Available for Single Family homes with 4 units or less, site-built or manufactured.
Licensed DHP Contractor must perform complete installation. Self-installed DHPs are not eligible.
Limit one rebate per home and one rebate per OTEC account.

New Electric DHP Retrofit–BPA qualified rebate

New electric DHP is first heat pump in an existing home that previously used only Electric resistance heating.
DHP must have HSPF 9.0 or higher, or “HSPF2” is 7.6 or higher.
New Construction homes are not eligible.

New Electric DHP–Flex rebates

New electric DHP is home’s first heat pump and converts from any existing heating source. Photo required to document Wood Stove condition.

Conversion to DHP, existing Wood Stove must be removed. $800
Conversion to DHP, existing Wood Stove is retained. $650
Conversion to DHP, no existing Wood Stove. $500

New Construction Electric DHP

New construction home built within the past 12 months. $500

Reference for the BPA-qualified efficiency measure. Confirm requirements are met before equipment is ordered.

Installation specifications

Ductless heat pump installed on a dedicated electrical circuit.
Refrigerant line protection installed on entire length of exterior, insulated refrigerant lines.
System installed according to manufacturer specifications, including proper refrigerant charging.
