Ukiah E-Bike Rebate

Offered to City of Ukiah Electric (UEU) residential customers with an active UEU account for qualifying Electric Bikes (E-Bike).

This application should be submitted within six (6) months of purchase date.

Eligibility

Rebate funds are reserved only for E-Bikes, purchased brand new or converted, which serve practical transportation and accessibility needs.

A qualifying E-Bike must have an electric motor, battery, and functional pedals.

E-Bikes intended primarily for recreational uses do not qualify for the rebate, including:

  • Brand new electric mountain bikes with high-end equipment (MTB or dirt).
  • E-Bikes designed for racing, endurance, touring/bikepacking, and other sport or high-performance riding.
  • An E-Bike capable of electric-assisted speeds higher than 28 mph (Class 3 E-Bike).
  • Scooters or Segways, mopeds, and electric motorcycles do not qualify.

Rebate Amounts

Approved Electric-CARE customer E-Bike: $700

E-Bike purchased at a Ukiah retailer: $400

E-Bike purchased from a retailer outside City of Ukiah: $300

E-Bike conversion kit: $50

Program Requirements

  • The applicant must be a City of Ukiah Electric customer.
  • Limit one E-Bike rebate per utility customer account.
  • Rebates for CARE customers will not exceed 100% of pre-tax purchase cost.
  • Rebates for non-CARE customers will not exceed 75% of pre-tax purchase cost
  • Your final invoice/receipt and a photo of the fully assembled E-Bike is required to submit this application.

Paid as a check sent to the customer’s mailing address.
